Brook Harris Tailored Menswear

FAQs

Where are you located?

Our studio is located in the idilic market town of Olney. Buckinghamshire.  Conveniently situated between the towns of Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northampton, just a 10 minute drive from the M1 Junction 14.

We also have a meeting space at a Private Members Club in Mayfair, London and offer home visits depending on what is most convenient for you.

Do you do suit hire or off-the-peg?

No.  Our aim is to ensure that you feel as comfortable and confident as possible and believe that the best way to achieve this is through a bespoke / made-to-measure garment.  However, we do have partnerships with other menswear companies that provide hire and off-the-peg options, if you are looking to match up your made-to-measure suit with a more affordable option for your grooms party.

Do you offer style advice?

Yes.  With decades of combined experience, our job is to take into account your frame, colouring and desired style to help guide you through the design, selection and fitting process, ensuring that you end up with the result that you want.

What if I want something a little different?

With over 5,000 fabrics to choose from including your own customised linings and a choice of buttons, threads, trims and embellishments, with a made-to-measure suit you can create something that is truly personal to you!

How long does it take?

Our usual timeline is between 6-8 weeks.  However, for weddings and events we require a minimum of 5-6 months prior to the date.  This allows time for a first fitting around 3 months before and gives plenty of time to address any (unlikely but possible) issues without adding any stress in the final weeks before your big day.  We can always do another final fitting 1-2 weeks before in case your shape has changed slightly.

How many fittings are there?

Oftentimes our suits will fit perfectly straight away, however we typically do 1-2 fittings to adjust sleeves, trouser length and any other minor adjustments to ensure exceptional fit.

What if I change shape?

As all of our suits are hand-matched and hand-sewn, we have plenty of inlay inside each of the seams, meaning that we can take in up to 3″ and let out up to 2″ without affecting the overall shape and balance of the suit.  Our suits are designed to stand the test of time and this level of adjustability is just one of the ways you can ensure your investment lasts.

How do I begin the process?

Whether you’re looking for businesswear, wedding suits, event clothing or general formalwear, we start with a free telephone style consultation where it is our aim to understand more about your specific needs in order to prepare for your measurement session.  This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.  Click below to book your free style consultation and begin your personal tailoring journey.
